Ben Folts is a puppeteer based in New York City.  He uses a variety of materials, including found objects (trash) to create a diverse array of puppets, creatures and mechanisms in a multitude of styles.

HOOBERT

Simple, blinking owl puppet made of cloth and foam

used as elementary music teaching aid


THE ARRIVAL

A Movement piece choreogrpahed by Chi-Jou Cheng.

Puppets were created out of found materials and made to look as though they were peices of origami.

LITTLE FRIEND

Main puppet of the arrival.  Operated by a single puppeteer.  Mechanisms include a trigger operated jaw, wagging tail, free-moving Jointed legs and a frog tongue made from a party blower.


BOTTOM'S TOP

Headpeice made of scrap-cloth and foam.

used for Shakespeare's A midsummer night's dream as Nick Bottom's donkey head.

THE WERE-PHIBIAN

Head piece made of cloth and foam

used in Take it from the Top, a web based sit-com which took place on the set of a cheap horror FLICK.
